Dr. Yuenian Eric Shi, Deputy Chairman&CEO

Dr. Shi (Eric) is a biomedical scientist specializing on cancer research and translational medicine development. Eric was the associate professor and then full Professor of Albert Einstein College of Medicine between 1994-2010, during which, he led twelve national research programs funded by the U.S. National Cancer Institute (NCI) and U.S. Department of Defense (DOD). In 2010, Eric returned to China and became Vice President of the Academy of Clinical Research and Translational Medicine Jiangsu Province. Eric leads three research projects sponsored by China National Science Foundation, and one cancer early diagnosis research sponsored by National Key Technology R&D Program for the 12th Five-year Plan of China. In addition to his accomplishments in research and development, Eric is an entrepreneur. He is the founder of several Bio-medical companies, including two most recent ones: Dawei BioPharma in China, a medical device company specializing on urinary tract system, and J&Q Diagnosis in China, a medical diagnosis company building a platform of metabolomics focusing on sex hormone metabolism. Upon graduation from Peking University School of Medicine in 1983, he was admitted to Dartmouth Medical School after passing a very selective and competitive program called CUSBEA (China-U.S. Biochemistry Examination Application). Eric got his PhD in biochemistry in 1989 at Dartmouth.
